You likely had no way of knowing there would be a problem until you received the notice in your Email.
If you change the IP address of a domain controller that is a Domain Name System (DNS) server, you must update the IP address in the delegation for the DNS server in the DNS zone for the parent domain.
I have checked the event viewer logs for the DHCP and DNS server but nothing is present?
I used curl and wget with parameters described on DNS-O-Matic API Help page.
An update client is a computer application or a feature in your router that keeps your hostname’s IP address up-to-date.
Hello, We have started to have lookup problems in out network.
When a new client gets an IP address, DHCP doesn't update DNS with the record. The DHCP and DNS are on the same box (which is also the primary DC).
The update client periodically checks your network’s IP address; if it sees that your IP address has changed, it sends (updates) the new IP address to your hostname in your Dyn account.
If you’re like many Dyn DNS customers, you have a dynamic IP address which changes periodically (monthly, weekly or even daily).
Unfortunately, as they are all third-party products, you’ll need to contact the manufacturer for support with the device. If your host was blocked for abuse, it probably wasn’t something that you did intentionally.
Hosts are blocked to prevent our system from being flooded with unnecessary updates from broken or misconfigured update clients.
This can make it difficult or impossible to connect to services at home, like remote desktop or FTP.
